Pattern Description

Hana-kui Sho-bu-mon (Design of Flying Bird having Flower Stem in Beak)

This design is modeled after one of the Shoso-in Repository since the 8th century. The auspicious bird is happily flying and dancing with flower stem in the beak. This is a good omen pattern which gives happiness to the people all around.

Tatsumura-style coordination

~Hanagui Shomai Pattern and Fuchsia Pink Colorless Plain

Flowing lines and colors, and the beauty of blank spaces. Immerse yourself in the afterglow of the elegant world.

The "Hanag ui Shomai" pattern depicts a flower-eating bird, which is also a yushoku pattern. The blank space created by the deliberate restraint of the pattern is so beautiful that you will want to gaze at it forever. The pale cream base color of the obi blends well with the skin of Japanese women of all ages, and has the power to harmonize with kimonos of any color. Here, I chose fuchsia pink for the kimono, which is the color of the flower that the bird is holding in its mouth, to create a lovely and youthful atmosphere. If you match it with a prestigious colored kimono with a ground pattern woven in the shape of an ewa, you will have a legitimate style suitable for a tea ceremony. In addition, the small red color on the obiage will accentuate your outfit as if you were putting a little red on your mouth.

Product Description

Tatsumura Bijutsu Orimono's sack belts are woven with the same yarn on both the front and the back, a rare and unique weaving technique called "hon-bukuro".

There are no sewing seams in the obi itself, so it fits the body very well and you can enjoy a comfortable feeling of wearing it for a long time without shifting. It can be worn with a wide range of kimono, such as furisode, visiting kimono, tsukigae, ikimono, komon, and plain silk.

It will take about three weeks to tailor the obi after purchase. The cost of tailoring is free of charge.
*If you choose "No need (no box or wrapping)" for wrapping, the obi will be delivered in a tatoushi paper box. If you choose a paper box, the tatoushi will be attached separately. (If you don't need it, please write it in the remarks column.)
