Pattern Description

To-sai Hansen-mon (Ship Design on Pottery)

In Imari wares, there are many modern designs, both Japanese and western style, depicting ocean and ship. The ocean is a dream spreading wide and the wave is a lucky omen lasting forever. Two designs are surrounded by repeated flower patterns. This is a design of ever-lasting happiness.

Coordinates by Tatsumura

~Black and coral-colored visiting kimono with a sailboat design in ceramic

Celebrating a new beginning with a sailing ship floating in the tranquil waves

You can enjoy the duality of this "ceramic sailing ship pattern": the odaiko depicts a scene of a sailing ship leisurely sailing through the waves, while the front pattern is only a kawarishi pattern. This is a storybook look with the combination of a pale coral-colored visiting kimono with a wave design and a dense hem, as if praying for a peaceful voyage. The obiage and obijime are white to create a formal look. The clutch bag is the same color as the obi to harmonize the look. This coordination is recommended for celebrating new beginnings, such as weddings, name change parties, and entrance ceremonies.

~Edo komon in black with a sailing ship design in ceramic

Two sailboats dressed mannishly in a monotone world.

Two sailboats are decorated with nostalgic colors and warm touches in the "Design of Sailboats in Ceramic Colors ".

The scene of two sailboats sailing leisurely across the ocean is a romantic story that makes you want to look at the back of the boat forever. This time, I paired it with a striped Edo komon, with its sharp contrast of black and white, to create a sharp look. For the obijime, I used a sacred white color to bring in the solemn spirit of the new year. The dark young pine color chosen for the obiage accentuates the sense of depth, and the matte clutch bag accentuates the modern atmosphere. The core of the dress is graceful, and the color and luster of the woman are enhanced.

Product Description

Tatsumura Bijutsu Orimono's sack belts are woven with the same yarn on both the front and back, a rare and unique weaving technique called "hon-bukuro ".

There are no sewing seams in the obi itself, so it fits the body very well, and you can enjoy a comfortable feeling of wearing it for a long time without it shifting. It can be worn with a wide range of kimono, such as visiting kimono, tsukedama, plain kimono, komon, and plain silk.

It will take about three weeks to tailor the obi after purchase. The cost of tailoring is free of charge.
