The exhibition’s name, “Ayanasukai,” was coined by Heizo Tatsumura, the founder of the Tatsumura family. It is derived from a line in a Chinese poem by Zu Si (late 3rd century), a literary figure of the Jin Dynasty: “Bai Jin Fei Cheng, Zhuo Se Jiang Bo”(meaning “a brocade as beautiful as a shell pattern; a brocade woven from colorful threads, radiant and exquisite”).

At the venue, we will have a wide selection of popular fukuro-obi and Nagoya-obi, as well as trendy accessories and bags, and our expert staff will be on hand to assist you.We will also be unveiling new designs for this event, including the Halloween-themed “Kichijō Kakurenbo,” as well as next year’s zodiac-themed designs: “Zuiryū Soshu-mon” and “Sarasa Unryū-mon,” along with the corresponding items.

Since you’ll be able to handle the actual products, this event offers a concrete opportunity to experience the charm of the “artistic textiles” we provide. We sincerely look forward to welcoming you all to this event.
