Collection: Sheep and Flowers Pattern
The original brocade with such artistic design as woven in this fabric was made in the Ming dynasty (1368-1644 A.D.), China. This design of sheep and flowers pattern has been handed down to the present day in Japan in the tea ceremony utensils as meibutsu-gire, or specialty cloths.
This cloth is woven by the warp brocade technique, adding rich colors to the emotional design of the original fabric.
