Collection: Mid-year gift collection

The "Ochugen" is a seasonal greeting to express gratitude to those who have taken care of us. It is said that the origin of this custom is that "Chugen," a Taoist custom held on July 15 of the lunar calendar, was mixed with the Buddhist custom of Urabon-e, and became a day to make offerings to the spirits of ancestors. After the Edo period (1603-1867), it developed into a custom of giving gifts to relatives and those who had taken care of one's family members as a Bon Festival ritual, which became the modern form of Bon Festival.
At Tatsumura Bijutsu Orimono, we recommend our products not only for those who prepare the mid-year gift every year, but also for those who are preparing the gift for the first time, such as those who are thinking of giving it on the occasion of becoming a member of society. Among the many gifts that are available, a textile that is different from the rest will surely be used by the recipient for a long time to come. Please select a comfortable item that will bring a smile to both the giver and the receiver.

Please see below for the pages of each product, including the colors and patterns shown.
