Miffy is the main character of a picture book created by Dick Bruna, a Dutch picture book author and graphic designer.

We have woven silk fabric with a playful design that conveys Miffy's cuteness.

The cheerful design is a collaboration between Miffy and traditional Japanese motifs, and is characterized by its bright, vibrant colors and gentle texture.

Description

This tailored Nagoya obi (Kyofukuro obi) is ideal for casual outings in kimono. Even if you tie the obi in the same way as you tie a Nagoya obi, the finished product will look as if it is tied with a double drum.

SANKAKU "miffy"("miffy" in a triangle)

This is a design of "miffy" playing tent in the backyard of her home, combining the "Scale Pattern" out of the Japanese traditional patterns as both are the triangle shapes. The continuing triangle patterns look like the scales of a fish, the "DRAGIN" & etc., so it has been called the scale pattern that has been believed as a charm against evil.
Laying over the different sized and colored triangles one upon another effects to deepen the overall design. The running triangles recall the trees in her garden and nearby.
