Ko-bukusa(Tea Ceremony Cloth) "TEPE-NO HITSUJI"

　In Iran, the world's oldest pictured potteries have been found in TEPE (historical hill in Persian) created by the local people with their own designs. The motifs were animals and the geometric patterns drawn rhythmically and on the rich individuality.

　Here, we have focused on the designs of the sheep that have lived with human beings since the ancient days and the geometric patterns drawn on the surface of the potteries excavated in Iranian Highland, both of the motifs are enclosed in the separate stripes, and yet composing one big stripe pattern.

　We have woven the historical patterns, yet looking elegant in the modern society, into the warp-patterned brocade in our own color-way and exquisite weaving technique.
