The Tea Basket Set is the first to appear in the online shop.

We have prepared several beautiful works that combine Japanese tradition with newness in a well-balanced manner. Among them, it is a tea basket set that combines the stylish maple tea container designed by Jihei Murase and the Egaratsu-yaki tea bowl by Yu Kobo.

The tea basket, designed to hold a set of tea utensils, is meticulously woven at the official purveyor of the Queen of Thailand. For the ko-bukusa cloth, tea container bag, and tea scoop bag, we used a delicate and splendid Sarasa Sei-gyu-mon.

How to enjoy the tea basket

A tea basket is a tea utensil that is devised so that you can take the tea utensils used in the tea room outside and drink tea while traveling. This product was devised so that you can enjoy matcha as a cafe in modern living spaces, regardless of whether it is outdoors or indoors.

Sarasa Sei-gyu-mon(The Sacred Bull in an Exotic Design)

One of the typical textiles made in India is chintz, or the printed cotton fabric. The design of this brocade, made up of the sacred bulls in the Hindu religion and the ornamental plants, was modeled after the masterpiece of the chintz. The print was processed in the "golden-seal printing technology", i.e. depicting a design with a gold foil or a mica powder pasting onto the fabric with Japanese lacquer or starch. We have made into warp-patterened brocade, reviving the unique effect of the "golden-seal printing technology" applied to the Indian chintz, with our delicate and elegant weaving technique.
