【Fukuro Obi "Shikka Kicchin Mon / Green"】
The pomegranate, bearing an abundance of fruit, has long been regarded as a symbol of prosperity and abundance, making it a cherished motif in traditional decorative arts.
This Fukuro Obi was inspired by a Kōgō (incense container) crafted using the Tsuishu carved lacquer technique, a distinguished form of Chōshitsu (layered carved lacquer). Gracefully woven against a soft, yellowish light green ground, the elegant pomegranate motif creates a refined and sophisticated impression. The lustrous silk surface, a hallmark of Tatsumura Textile's craftsmanship, beautifully complements the vivid vermilion pomegranate design, creating a striking contrast.
