While the term “hanging scroll” generally brings to mind paintings, at Tatsumura Art Textiles, we have created works that embody the artistic quality befitting our name, “Art Textiles,” and have crafted them into hanging scrolls.Hanging scrolls are often highly valued as celebratory gifts. こちらで描かれた神田祭りは江戸の祭りを代表するものです。5月14日、15日に神田神社の祭礼として行われます。江戸っ子が威勢よくかつぐ山車の行列は、その立派な様が有名で、まさに江戸を飾る華といえます。
京都の祇園祭、東京の神田祭とあわせて日本三大祭ともいわれていますが、それぞれ古くから庶民に親しまれ、愛され、盛り立てられ、受け継がれてきた日本を代表する祭りといえるでしょう。
この壁掛はそんな神田祭の行列の様子を見事に表した逸品です。
