Collection: Souran Karakusa-mon(Design of Luan and Arabesque)

This design consisting of luan, mythical Chinese bird, and arabesque is from the collection of poems kept in Nishi-hongan-ji Temple, Kyoto since the Heian Period (794-1160, A.D.), that reflects gorgeous world of dynasty. We have made SHA weave which is thin and cool fabric, of which patterns are effected by patterning wefts which alternates with ground yarn.
