Pattern Description

Kokuseki Tensho Ko-mon(Brocade with Design of Astronomy and Tiger in Engraving Style)

There remain many rare arts engraved on the hard stones left since the Han Dynasty China, about 2000 years ago, drawing the vivid life and the culture of the ancient people. The pattern of this brocade is originated from one of such engravings placing tigers among door-knockers and the heavenly bodies such as the sun, the moon and the stars. We have woven into warp-patterned brocade in our colorways reqresenting the characteristic atmosphere of the engraving style of the original.
