Table Runner (myao-no-syokuryu)

Garments of the Miáozú, one of the minority tribes living mainly in the southwestern region of China, are noted for their gorgeousness with superb weaving and embroidery techniques applied to silk material produced by them. The design is based on the Miáozú's traditional decorative art (cross-stitch) with a main theme of the dragon, the symbol of fertility and good luck. This piece is executed as a warp-patterned brocade with artistic elegance attributed to the minority tribe Miáozú.
