Fushigi-na Ichi-ya(A Wonderful Night)
In the latter half of the 19th century, Arts and Crafts movement arose in the British Isles as an international trend in the decorative and fine arts. The movement was targeting the handicraft industry to revive to the Medieval Ages, and aimed the unification of the life and the arts. The pattern of this brocade is modeled after a design of an interior decorative fabric made in England under the influence of this movement. It depicts awls, bats, and cats hidden in the curved plant vines, all of which are considered to call a happiness. We have made this design into warp-patterned brocade with our exquisite weaving technique and a sense of imaginative mind.
