Description

This tailored Nagoya obi (Kyofukuro obi) is ideal for casual outings in kimono. Even if you tie the obi in the same way as you tie a Nagoya obi, the finished product will look as if it is tied with a double drum.

The width of the obi around the body can be adjusted to your preference, so it is also recommended for those who think that a regular Nagoya obi is a little too narrow around the body, or that they would like a little more width.

The lining has the original name of Tatsumura Bijutsu Orimono.

We hope you will wear this item to a tea ceremony or a theater, or when you go out in a kimono with a little more style.

Kisshō Kusi-mon(Brocade with Puppy Dog Design in Good Omen)

Modeled after the puppy dogs from "Kōrin Gafu", a collection of paintings by Ogata Kōrin (1658-1716), a dominant artist of the Rinpa school, this design is made composing humorous and relaxing puppies with pine, bamboo and plum, together an auspicious grouping. A lovery and happy pattern is woven into warp-patterned brocade with our exquisite weaving technique.
