Description
This tailored Nagoya obi (Kyofukuro obi) is ideal for casual outings in kimono. Even if you tie the obi in the same way as you tie a Nagoya obi, the finished product will look as if it is tied with a double drum.
The width of the obi around the body can be adjusted to your preference, so it is also recommended for those who feel that a regular Nagoya obi is a little too narrow around the body, or that they would like a little more width.
We hope you will wear it to a tea ceremony or a play, or when you go out in a kimono with a little more style.
Patterns
SANKAKU "miffy"("miffy" in a triangle)
The image of Miffy playing in a tent in the garden is combined with a scale pattern similar in shape to a tent from among traditional Japanese patterns. The continuous triangles resemble the scales of a fish or dragon, and are called "scaly pattern" because they are meant to ward off evil spirits and misfortune.
The layering of triangles of different colors and sizes gives depth to the textile, and the series of triangles reminds one of greenery and trees in a garden.
The design is light and playful, combining Japanese patterns with Miffy's fun day of walking and eating in a tent on a sunny day.
