Product Description

A tie with dignity and character with ancient design.

Pattern Description

Arisugawa Uma-mon(Arisugawa Brocade with Horse Design)

This is a design of matsukawa- bishi, the repeated diamond-shaped pattern, in which horses and the seven planets are depicted, and the decorative designs are placed at each point of intersections of the diamond-shapes. This design is modeled after one of the specialty cloths introduced to Japan in the 16th century. Our refined weaving technique made it into warp-patterned brocade in elegant and rich colors.
