Description
Original sketch designs of TATSUMURA fabric were printed onto the picture postcard.
Patterns
This wall hanging is a copy of a Coptic tapestry masterpiece, "Parrot with a Flower Ring", featuring a gold leaf woven ground and wool yarn patterns.
2 Painted mochi brocade: One of the masterpieces of Heizo I. One of the masterpieces of the first Peijang, it depicts a scene of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty of China's pleasure boat, beautifully decorated with paintings and colors, sailing through the flowers of the four seasons.
3Koetsu Yume Butterflies Nishiki: A butterfly pattern found on mica prints by Hon'ami Koetsu.
4Roku-ka-sen brocade: A collaboration between Kitano Tsunetomi, a famous painter in Osaka, and Heizo I. The poets of the Six Immortal Poets are represented in the Korin style.
5Boketsu-ori butterfly brocade: The taste of gold-tone leather is expressed in the fabric. It is woven with the batik weaving technique invented by Heizo I.
6Ningyo Teitoiri Nishiki: A gorilla in a basket, a gorilla holding a plum branch, astride a large sheep. Inspired by the pattern of the famous Ningyo Te Kinran.
7Ikaruga Nishiki: From the dyeing and weaving tradition of Horyuji Temple. The floral patterns and arabesques in the lattice show the generous spirit of the Nara period.
8:Chiyo no Kane Nishiki: The crown of the crane in the classic Noh play and its pearl beauty are woven as a celebration.
9:Tenpyo Sai Kan Nishiki: A pattern of shakuhachi carved on bamboo during the Tenpyo period. Women, flowers, and butterflies are depicted on the brocade.
10Senkai fisherman: A poem written by the Chinese poet Yanagi Zong Yuan and a scene of a fisherman rowing a boat depicted on the ground paper of the 36th poetry anthology are superimposed on the scenery of the poem.
