ASUTEKA SHIN-EN(Design of Aztec Mythical Ceremony)
This design is modeled after a wall painting of a chocolate refining scene found in the remains of the ancient Maya City of Calakmul, Mexico (250AD-550 AD), and the Aztec mythical ceremony of our design, both are drawn in a rich expression.
The origin of cacao is said to be found in the Mesoamerica civilization (10C., BC-16C., AD). The cacao had been treated very importantly, so it was used in the ritual ceremonies and as a currency one time.
In this design, some of the chocolate jars were drawn in a heart shape to show the deep affection. The cacao-bean patterns scattered all over look shining due to the luster of pure silk used to this fabric, that expresses the passion and the wealthiness rhythmically.
We made a pattern of a harmony of mystique and love in the ancient days into warp-patterned brocade in a colorful manner with our exquisite weaving technique.
