Patterns

miffy DAN-MON (miffy in Stripe Design)

We have woven lovely miffy with a Japan's traditional stripe-pattern "dan-mon". Here, the thick lines symbolize parents, and the thin lines symbolize children. The stripes drawn with thick lines outside and thin lines inside "parents guard children". The stripes drawn with thin lines outside and thick lines inside depict "devotion to parents" like children admire parents.
miffy facing to the straight front shows the love of Dick Bruna, miffy's picture book writer, who always stands face to face with children,in joy and even in sorrow. Carrots and flowers scattered in the strips recall miffy's happy and cheerful daily life.
We have finished this brocade in soft light-color, thinking of Dick Bruna looking children and miffy with loving heart.
