Collection: Persia Hitsuji-mon(Brocade with Persian Sheep Design)

Modeled after a pattern seen in the metalworking made in the Sassanian Dynasty (226-651, A.D.), this design consists of a sheep, wearing a long ribbon around his neck, placed in the center surrounded by a palmetto, a bird, a grape, and a foliage scroll. A sheep with a ribbon was a holy symbol of the ancient Persians overeignty, meaning the wealth, an asset, and a good crop, i.e., the paradise. We have woven the noble character and the elegance of distant Persia into the warp-patterned brocade with our exquisite technique.
