Keiju Ryuu-Hou Nishiki(Brocade with Auspicious Design of Dragon & Phoenix)
Heizo Tatsumura, the first had re-produced large-number of specialty clothes whilst devoting his lifetime to create a new woven fabric and to study the ancient fabric. One of his masterpieces is the gold brocade patterned with the crane and the Chinese Dragon flying in the auspicious clouds woven with the gold-foil thread on velvet ground.
Heizo V, a great-grandson of the first, replaced the crane from the first-made masterpiece with the phoenix , the king of birds, wishing for the rich longevity and perfected his original creation. Here, the gold-foil thread or the silver-foil thread is used to weave the letter "寿" (meaning the celebration) to show the shiny appearance and the solemn taste.
A new masterpiece of brocade of brocade was completed here by the warp-patterned technique.
