Sweden Hana Usagi(Swedish Flower and Rabbit)
In Scandinavia, textiles have become an integral part of daily life to stay warm during the long winters and have enriched our lives. We sought a model in the patterns of fin weaving, a traditional craft that has continued since the Middle Ages centered in the province of Bohus on the west coast of Sweden. The figure of a rabbit playing in the field among the flowers symbolizes the long-awaited spring, and is woven in Kyoshinboku as a pattern of joyful wishes for happiness.
